We are currently recruiting for a new Chair of Trustees. Please see the below for further information on the role.

Could you be Citizens Advice Devon's new Chair of Trustees?

Established in 2012, Citizens Advice Devon is a consortium of seven local Citizens Advice charities in Devon which provide free, confidential and impartial advice to help people find a way forward, whatever problems they face. Citizens Advice is a brand which carries an enormous amount of respect, and more importantly, influence.

Citizens Advice Devon works to secure a sustainable future for the Citizens Advice service in Devon, promotes collaboration between local Citizens Advice (LCA) and other charities providing a single point of contact for funders, partners and policy makers. Our Board consists of trustees from the 7 Devon LCAs with an independent Chair and Treasurer. We employ a Business Development Officer to seek out funding opportunities with the public and private sectors, oversee delivery and maintain effective working arrangements with funders.

Our current Chair is due to retire at our AGM later this year and Shine Charity Recruitment is now working with us to help to find and appoint a new Chair into the role. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to lead and further develop a vital voluntary sector organisation right across Devon .

We are looking for someone who will have attained managerial/chief officer level during their career and be experienced and knowledgeable in running Trustee Board Meetings. In addition, you will be comfortable representing the organisation at relevant high-level, regional and national meetings.
It would be desirable, but not essential, that you have a background in either the Public or Charitable Sector and are able to make representations on behalf of CA Devon at a very senior level. This does not preclude anyone who has successfully made a career in business or the managerial sector at senior level.

The Board meets five times a year in Exeter on a Wednesday morning.
